+ You help plan and photograph elopements and wedding days? How?

As a guide and planner for destination elopements and intimate weddings, I help you create a celebration that honors who you really are! I believe your whole day should be true to you, just as I strive to capture images that are honest and real. The tools I’ve created such as my Elopement and Wedding Guidebooks, along with my Timeline Checklists, that help guide the planning process!

I’m the person you spend the most time with throughout your wedding day. The foundation of trust and comfort we’ve built together reflects in every photo – in the easy way you hold each other, how natural it feels to let go and laugh, cry or simply breathe together.

We begin building this trust the first time we meet, over coffee or FaceTime, as partners in this journey.

+ Can I reach out whenever needed to sort through ideas and thoughts?

Absolutely! We connect many times to talk through your day, your dreams, and the details required to turn it into a reality. Every couple is different, so I don’t put a cap on the number of calls or FaceTime chats! The vision of exchanging vows in a quiet and picturesque forest relies on countless details to bring it to life. Hours of work are required to set up a small elopement or intimate wedding in a unique setting.

+ Can you help me with the location of my elopement or intimate wedding?

I sure can! I have a process for presenting locations, based on key items such as your interests, values and budget. Selecting a location is part of all my packages!

+ Do I need to hire an officiant?

Each state has different laws surrounding this item! Part of my expertise is walking you through this process! If your planning on an international elopement or wedding, I normally suggest handling the marriage license and paperwork locally, then exchanging personal vows. I can share more thoughts surrounding this when we chat!

+ Can I include friends and family in my elopement?

Yes, please! 90% of the elopements I shoot have close family and friends present! There are tons of options when it comes to incorporating family into your day!

+ What is your shooting style?

Formal poses and fake smiles are not my style! Posing is uncomfortable and it’s not your true self. I want to capture the genuine, real, unposed moments. I shoot in a photojournalistic style, capturing the smiles, laughs, hugs, and emotions shared in each genuine moment. The whole-hearted adventure of your wedding day: the smiles, laughter, joy, craziness, and the true in-between moments when it feels like no one else exists, when you’re just being you. I will direct you, but ultimately want you to be you!

My heart is in capturing your story. No person or couple is ever the same, and our photography journey begins with getting to know you: your true and genuine selves, your real love story. I’ll ask a lot of questions to understand who you are at your heart, I’ll make an idiot out of myself at times to make you laugh, and we’ll walk away friends.

If you are looking for a photographer that will pose you, we probably aren't a fit!

+ Should I send a shot list?

I want each and every client to have full confidence when hiring me! This means entrusting me to capture your story from my perspective. I work hard to make sure your images capture your story and personality, while also staying true to my shooting style and portfolio as a whole. I always ask for any specific requests on your wedding day, but ask that you give me freedom to execute my vision!

+ What type of sessions do you book?

I shoot destination weddings, intimate weddings and adventure elopements. I prefer to shoot outdoors in nature, but also do in-home lifestyle sessions.

+ Where are you based? Do you travel?

Yes, I travel all over the US and internationally! I have a deep love for the Southwest (Arizona, Utah, etc.), California, and Colorado – and especially national parks, deserts, mountains, and other breathtaking vistas, from Arches National Park to Zion and everything in between. I love photographing intimate weddings, elopements and destination weddings all over the world. I am ALWAYS up for an adventure!

Travel within 30 miles of Austin, TX and Denver, CO is included in all my elopement and intimate wedding pack ages. Travel beyond 30 miles of Austin, TX or Denver, CO is 57.5 cents per mile, per IRS Standard Rates for 2020.

+ Will you help me create a timeline for my day?

Yes, absolutely! Because I serve as your guide, in addition to your photographer, we work closely together to create a timeline that allows you to relax on your day. We meet or talk many times before the big day to go over the details that will make a meaningful and stress-free celebration for you. Click here to learn more about my work as a guide.

+ What should I wear?

I love to help you decide on every detail of your intimate wedding, destination elopement, or adventure session. Whether you’re thinking out your entire color palette or just deciding what would be best for a hike in Bryce Canyon, I’m here to help. Want some inspo for your adventure session? Check out my Pinterest board!

+ What is the best time of day for my session?

I prefer to shoot 1-2 hours before sunset, also known as "golden hour."

+ Do you reschedule for bad weather?

I reschedule for precipitation and winds over 25 miles an hour. If you schedule a session in the summer, please expect it to be hot; if it is winter, expect it to be cold! I do not reschedule for temperature or cloudy days. There is a reschedule fee of $150.00.

+ When can I expect my finished photos?

The turnaround time for Couples Sessions is 3-4 weeks. Weddings are delivered in 8-10 weeks. During busy seasons, it may take a few more weeks!

+ How many images can I expect to receive?

Weddings average 50-100 photos per hour, depending upon the amount of activity and weather that day. Wedding galleries average 600-800 photos, depending upon the coverage, size of your wedding, amount of details, number of formal family photos, etc.

+ Engagement Sessions average 50-100 delivered photos. Adventure Sessions average 100-200.

I don't put a limit on the number of final edited photos in your gallery, as I believe you should receive every memorable or print worthy moment!

+ Do I need a second shooter?

While I do offer the option to add on a second shooter to any package, I don’t believe it’s a necessity for most weddings. I have ample experience shooting weddings by myself and am confident I can capture all your moments and memories! I’m happy to talk about this more during a consult!

Yes! You will receive all of the final, edited images for your session and/or wedding via an online gallery. You can directly download the gallery onto your computer! The link to your online gallery will be sent to you through email and you can forward this to family and friends!

+ Do I get all my RAW digital files?

No, never. To protect the integrity of my work and the industry as a whole, raw files will never be released.

+ Where can I print images?

I do offer printing for any session through the online gallery! You will be able to print photos via your online gallery. My computer screen has been calibrated with the professional printer I provide printing through, so I can ensure the colors are true to the photos you see in your gallery!

+ Can I order a wedding album?

Absolutely! Let's chat about what you want!

+ What about taxes?

Unfortunately, this isn't the fun part of "adulting" or running a business. I have to charge tax based upon where the session or wedding is held. This means tax varies with each session and wedding, based upon the address!

+ How do I book a session?

To secure your date, all I need is the signed contract and the paid non-refundable retainer of 50% of your package total.
