Troy and Eva make a lovely couple! Their style, romance and playful connection shined through at each location they selected. Troy and Eva are big foodies and love exploring the Austin culinary scene, so it was only natural we would visit some foodie locations!
They got engaged in June 2018 in France! How cool is that?! Whisler's Bar was one of their session locations and one of the inside areas feels like an old French wine cellar, which I love! Make sure you scroll down and check those photos out! These are some of my favorite recent photos!
Troy and Eva will celebrate their wedding in the fall of 2020 at The Prospect House in Austin with a small and intimate wedding! I can’t wait to spend more time with them, capturing their wedding story!
Engagement Session Locations in Austin, Texas
Troy and Eva requested to shoot their engagement session in a few of their favorite Austin locations. Their choices provided the perfect backdrop to express their personalities and interests!
First, we stopped at Easy Tiger off 6th street downtown Austin, one of my favorite spots in the city! This bake shop and beer garden has a European, old-world feel. This unique location offers delicious artisan bread, house-made meats, locally roasted coffee and over 30 local beers on draft. I truly like the photos in the beer garden! The atmosphere makes you feel like your stepping back in time, which I love!
Our next stop was Whisler's Bar, which is an eclectic craft cocktail bar! The bar downstairs has a French vibe to represent their engagement, which wasn’t planned or discussed prior! The stone wall and light caught my attention immediately and I have to say, I really love these engagement photos!

The locations Troy and Eva selected were great for them! They were at ease and enjoyed the process, which is always my goal as a couple’s photographer. For an engagement session, you want to express your love story! This means choosing locations that reflect your unique personalities and relationship. I’m all about creating an experience, rather than a grand photo shoot!
Whether you love cooking, hiking or travel, I believe it’s important to show your interests! This makes an engagement session an experience more than a photo session. It turns photos into memories! The pictures of the day serve as a reminder of who you were as individuals and a couple during this sweet beginning of your relationship.
